Coming from France (Lyon) and composed of four members, HYSTERIA plays a Brutal Death Metal Style with a melodic touch. The line up has been unchanged since its begining in 1996.
The band needed several years before their first release to find its own identity and to make its songs become more mature. Its first 4 songs MCD “Abyssal plains of chaos” was available in January 2002 on Infernal waves label. After that release HYSTERIA took part in a lot of shows with famous bands like MORTICIAN, BEHEMOTH et DISSECTION
“Haunted By Words Of Gods” ” came out in May on the ADIPOCERE RECORDS label. The cover artwork, the layout and design were done by the very famous artist G-R-A-A-L (Behemoth, Vile, Hate, Vader.... It is composed of 8 songs. Total running time: 48 minutes.
During the composition of this CD the band created its own identity mixing brutal and melodic death metal and some other influences from each member. The new songs are more mature and efficient than in the past and still keep the melodic touch though it is now more obscure. A real work has been done on the technique and the arrangements in order to offer a rich and varied release where each instrument holds its own place.
As they were touring all around France in order to promote “Haunted By Words Of Gods”, HYSTERIA composes new songs. These new songs were more straight forward, faster and more evil. The band logically made their music evolve while still keeping their roots which make its originality.
May 2008 started the recording sessions of a new album entitled “ When Believers Preach Their Hangman’s Dogma ”. This album is composed of 9 tracks. The artwork was this time done by the famous artist SETH-SIRO-ANTON ( Paradise lost, Vader, Belphegor, Septic Flesh, Moonspell ).
December 2009, "When Believers Preach Their Hangman’s Dogma" has been available on Trendkill Recordings. The bands is now looking for dates to promote his new opus...
